Probably the most beautiful song written about being stalked.

 

Sarah Maclachlan is a Canadian singer/ songwriter. I first heard her music as it was featured on "Due South", which I loved, and still do! The song, "Possession" was featured in an episode. 

The most amazing/ disturbing thing about the song is that the lyrics are based on letters Sarah was sent by her stalker. And there are some very....intense lyrics. But I like the way Sarah managed to turn such an awful ordeal into a beautiful song. 

Everytime I listen to the song, I do think about the lyrics and the meaning behind the lyrics. 

Fun fact; Sarah started her own music festival, called Lilith fair, which features female singer/ songwriters. I have a love for 90s female singer/ songwriters (what I listened to as a teenager!) so when she started the festival, I was very excited about it even though I've never been as I live in a different country to where it's held. But I still admire her for setting it up.
