"Careless whisper" is my second favourite song ever. My mum was a big fan of George Michael/ wham and his/ their music was always playing in the house, when I was growing up.
And this song always just made me stop whatever I was doing, and listen to it. It's a beautiful song, and showed just how talented George really was.
I remember the Christmas day that George died. As weird as it seemed, me and my mum were really upset. We spent the rest of that Christmas day just playing George Michael and wham songs.
I've even been to see George Michael tribute acts.
Back to the song, the line "Now whose gonna dance with me? Please stay" is the line that just hits me with emotion. It's such a simple, yet beautiful, line and it makes me think of people in my life I've lost.
I think it's lovely when music can really touch your emotions.
